Spring can be a particularly difficult time for hayfever sufferers (me included) but organic herbal expert, Pukka Herbs, believes the symptoms can be avoided with the use of natural remedies.

I’m going to give their recommendations a try, as every summer I seem to find myself with a collection of boxes and bottles of product claiming a cure and some of the vessels cannot be easily recycled; this year, it’s time to see how much Mother Nature can do for me.

Here’s some additional advice from Pukka’s herbal director, Sebastian Pole. “If our digestion becomes impaired, we cannot absorb and metabolise what we are putting into ourselves. This can create a toxic overload that coats our mucus membranes and obstructs the free flow of air, resulting in hayfever symptoms. Congestion, sneezing, itchiness, heavy head and difficulty in breathing are particularly common.
